during summer holidays, more teenagers look for jobs and the unemployment rate usually rises. The unemployment rate increases because
(1) it takes more time for teenagers to search for a job.

cos labor force wil also increase
imagine there r originally 1000ppl in the labor force n 100.of them are unemployed
if there are 100 teenagers joining labor forcen 1of them cannot get the job
the percentage increase in unemployed pop will be only 1%
while that of labor force will be 10%
as % increase of labor force is greater
unemployment rate will decrease instead
