1. Why infiltration increases with vegetation cover?
2. How does trellis drainage pattern differ from the retangular one?
3. Why the degree of destruction of a tsunami in shallow bay is higher than that in a deep bay?

1) 植被上升--> 截留增加 (滯水作用) --> 雨水到達地表既時間增加 + 較少既雨水降到地表 --> 有利雨水下滲至土壤中
另外, 植被的根系有利改善土壤的空隙度, 有利下滲, 增加下滲量

3)巨浪在深海並不明顯;但當去到海岸時,會突然被提升,海浪愈高,沖流愈強, 破壞力/撞擊力愈大 + 愈能深入內陸, 造成嚴重及廣泛性既地區破壞

1. more vegetation cover = more interception= more w'' trapped by plant= less overland flow
= more time for w'' to infiltrate

2) there's ridge formed by alternate layer of resistance rock and non-resistance rock and rivers flows // to ridges in trellis drainage basin.
In rectangular one, rocks are of uniform resistance
