CH4 + H2O = CO + 3H2
at eqm, add some Helium gas in the container.

pV = nRT (from Physics, but chemistry students should be familiar with this relationship)

if V and T no change, add more Helium can make the pressure higher. Pressure higher will shift the eqm position to the left (quoted from teaching notes)

However, many teaching notes claim that eqm position does not change if He gas is added. Can you explain?

第一步:先睇清楚條式CH4 + H2O = CO + 3H2

第二步認清反應CH4, H2O及生成物 CO + 3H2
第三步,只有這4種反應物才會令到Eqm.有shift加其他反應物或生成物係吾會有料到,
例如我加He,Ne或,Ar會不會令Eqm. shift? The answer is No!
Only the reactants and products that "actually take part in this chemical reaction" can
make eqm. shift!!!!本教主問下你,你如果放屁去這個System,Will the eqm. shift? Yes. Why?CH4(g) and H2O(g)!!!!!

睇下下邊點答the eqm. point shift only when conc. of reactant of product changed if volume no change then no change then no change on eqm. position.你邊忽睇到有比出volume你呀?你重叫人考慮Volume?真係勁過本葵花寶典呀!!!嗱,新方法呀誕生了.
你睇下左右两邊條式mole數相吾相等咩得囉.重叫人睇Volume,如果是式中两邊mole數相等,就算樓主放20個臭屁去個System都不會令個eqm. shift啦.雖然有CH4同H2O佢咁答就好像人地部Amp按制無反應佢重人去RESET部Amp一樣咁搞笑.矩陣電路出了事還可以按制,勁!
