Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing bad things, but for good people to do bad things, it takes religion.
Absolutely true and inspiring. But before then I thought this quote originated from someone more recent.Einstein had long been some sort of agnostic or pantheist, yet the religious institutions keep taking the advantage of his name to spread imbecile religious ideas, e.g. bring religious educations back to school, or well-known scientist Einstein is a Christian, etc. In 1940s, when Einstein had been in the US for sometime, he wrote some articles to crush the rumours that he was a Christian. He publicly declared that he did not believe in any kind of anthropomorphic deity, but merely 'in awe' towards the laws of nature. He was widely attacked by all kinds of voices in the US, some even wrote 'for the first time to successfully persuade people that the Holocaust is reasonable'. So you see. Pathetically, some imbecile Christians still brainlessly take his quotes like 'God does not play dice' to prove that he believes in an anthropomorphic god.
Science has never been compatible with religion, their mutual impossibility of coexistence is embodied by the corrupted nature of religion, especially Christianity, that they are strongly dogmatic and narrow in nature. Believing in eternity, or believing in something that does not alter, requires the prerequisite that the world holds the same as they think their god is. Morality that the world requires shifts, but the morality of religion cannot change. If it changes, they just refute themselves that the Ten Commandments are promulgated by unmovable and omniscient Yahweh . If it doesn't, they are against the progress and advances of society. Unless religion gets rid of myths, and remains some sort of essence similar to that of Confucius, otherwise they are the enemies of modern society and must be and should be eliminated from the world.
