以上三個都係lateral
related business but not competitive
不過如果有時如果兩隻關係唔係咁接近 有d年份會接受lateral/conglomerate兩種都得

the content of newspaper係咪public good
yes, non-excludable and non-rival in consumption
non-excludable: it is costly to exclude non-payers from accessing the news content
non-rival: one's consumption of the news content doesn't affect others' availability of consumption

TOP

1. Lateral integration
2. Lateral integration
3. Lateral expansion
(Note that expansion =/= integration in definition, but is still acceptable in HKDSE syllabus)

4. Yes. Newspaper itself is a private good as it is priced to exclude non-payers from accessing the item,
and its quantity also drops when one consumes it.
However, the content of newspaper is a public good as non-payers can access the news content without paying,
e.g from the internet, from the word of mouth, from sharing or whatever.
Consuming the news content also have no effect on others' availability of consumption.
