Your schoolmagazine is going to include a special feature on mental health. Recently, one of your friends was suffering from depression.Write an article for the school magazine about your friend’s depression and how he/she overcame it.Give advice to others on howto help fight depression.


        Suffering from depression is like suffocating under heatwave – it is miserable,painful and seemingly endless. The endless suffocation is totally desperate from our sadness feeling that will pass after a few days. Can you imagine how a patient can overcome his severe symptom, leaving the dreadful thoughts alone? My best friend situation is a case in point.


My friend is a hard-working student, who study from dawn till dusk. He is not only steadfast for being a doctor, but also want to emulate his parents for raising him up. Unfortunately, an over-hard-working attitude in the previous day sacrificed his leisure time on staying with his parents. He started to be confused about his target and ran in the opposite direction. He cannot suppress his stressful mood and express his negative thoughts to me by far. As being a faithful friend, I recommended him to consult a psychologist and have a psychotherapy. The professional investigate his symptom into details beginning from his family background to his most suitable medicine. After a period of therapy, he became optimistic on see his life as clouds (not to stubborn on his academic result). ‘You can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs’, but his omelette is further consequential than the eggs.

        During his period of therapy, he shared his method to counter depression to me. I hope all of you can remember these tips to fight against the long-term battle of the public exam. First and foremost, you can spend time on your cherished one and confide in trusted friend. It is tremendously vital to let off some steam on your undesirable matters embracing you.So that my friend would be stay with his family, he told them he was striving for providing a pleasant living environment to them, which is incredibly difficult to achieve his will, and then he got understandings from them.


        Second,you can commence with doing exercises even though you do not familiar with the techniques. It is able to relieve your stress in a positive way, feeling like the heavy pressure as light as a feather, and is considered vital for maintaining mental fitness. Scientists has found regular exercises can slump your tension, improve sleep and stabilize mood that is a panacea for depression.


        In a nutshell,
preventing depression is better than cure. To protect your mental health, it is indispensable to manifest your understandings on depression. Hope that the trivial reminder can arise your attention on staying healthy.
