CS: mainly software
Electronic: more about hardware, circuits and related theories
Computer Engineering 可以說是介乎兩者中間, 至於偏向 software/hardware 方面係睇你自己點take d courses, 兩邊ge fundamentals 你都會識, d electives 就睇你自己興趣
e.g. 你 Final Year Project, UST 的話你可以跟 ELEC 或者 CS 都得
不一定是樓上所講mainly hardware and low-level software
FYI:
Q: What are the differences between CS Information Engineering (CSIE), EE Information and Communication Engineering (EEIC), EE Electronic Engineering (ELEC) and Computer Engineering (CPEG)?
A: CSIE - Stresses fundamental science and programming technology with an emphasis on basic knowledge and both general and special applications.
ELEC - Electrical and Electronic degree with more emphasis on electronics, circuits and systems.
EEIC - Electrical and Electronic degree with more emphasis on communications.
CPEG - is a bridge between the software and hardware programs. It provides the students with a very good balance between the two worlds. For example, a CPEG student will not only know how to write an efficient program for a given application but he will also understand how this program is executed by the microprocessor chip.
