To know more about Electrical Engineering, please check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_engineering.

Both Engineering and Physics require ones to have strong background in Mathematics.  In other words, he/she MUST have very good background in Mathematics for survival.  If you are really interested in the captioned disciplines, you have to FIRST improve your proficiency in Mathematics.

Besides, ones must have passion on study for success.  Engineering students may spend around 30 hours per week in class (lectures, tutorials, and laboratories).  EEE or CE students may need to occasionally work overnights to write computer programs, build circuit boards, and so on.

Of course, one can be rewarded if he/she is really bright and studying hard.  Besides further study, he/she can receive job offers in many disciplines, including investment banks, before graduation.  Otherwise, just like many weak BBA graduates, they would fail to get any jobs long after graduation.  Some incapable / lazy (hea) students might have discontinued their study without receiving any degrees.

Just like what I have said some time ago, this can be the case.  In the worse case, study can be discontinued for some incapable students as well.

It is not easy to understand/comprehend some Engineering concepts.  They are also derived or involved lots of concepts in Mathematics as well.  Hence, Engineering is indeed a discipline in Applied Mathematics/Science.

However, one may feel excited that we may apply these Engineering concepts to build real, practical applications so as to contribute to our society.  To name a few, these applications include:
*  Electricity, engines
*  Computers
*  Internet, mobile communication, ...
*  Optical fibres
*  LED, OLED
*  High-rise buildings and bridges
*  Manufacturing production lines
*  DNA sequencing
*  Nano-technology
...

Well, you can generally find Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) in Hong Kong rather.

www.britishcouncil.org/learning-infosheets-electrical-engineering.pdf

The term electrical engineering is used to cover power engineering, including the generation, transmission, control and use of all forms of electrical power.  The term electronic engineering is used to include the expanding fields of electronic communications (including computer networks), computers (both hardware and software) and electronic components.  These components include microcomputer chips and, increasingly, the optical devices now being used for many applications.  In addition, the field of control engineering spans the electrical/electronic boundary and, with its use of computer systems, is very broadly based.  Manufacturing engineering – involving as it does, computer techniques, control and power electrical engineering - is another major and vital branch within the field of electrical and electronic engineering.
